Aitken Lambert Elsworth  was founded in 1988 and currently has a staff complement of approximately 50 dedicated and enthusiatic individuals. We are a member of MSI Global Alliance – an international legal and accounting association with representation in 250 firms in over 100 countries worldwide.

Through a series of mergers and acquisitions Aitken Lambert Elsworth has established itself as a significant firm of Chartered Accountants in KwaZulu Natal. Our client base comprises mainly of medium sized businesses and their owners and management. We strive to be the accounting, auditing and business consulting firm of first choice to small and medium sized businesses. Our goal is to assist in wealth creation for our clients and the communities in which they operate.

Black Economic Empowerment

Aitken Lambert Elsworth has been awarded Level 4 status for our Black Economic Empowerment Compliance which affirms our commitment to the BEE Act and, more specifically, the Chartered Accountants Charter which governs our profession.

Directors

The Directors of Aitken Lambert Elsworth are Andrew Aitken, Colin Elsworth and Barry Fuller, who are qualified Chartered Accountants with 90+ years experience between them. Their combined expertise are in the property, agricultural and public sectors, as well as the manufacturing industry and a number of other areas.


Andrew C. Aitken
Andrew attended Durban High School and the University of Natal and qualified in 1976 with Deloitte and Touche. He spent two years in the construction industry in the United Kingdom and then joined KPMG in 1981 as a partner. He has obtained extensive audit experience in many industries and has spent most of his professional career consulting to small and medium size businesses and in particular to the agricultural and property sectors.

Colin C. Elsworth
Colin attended Durban High School and the University of Natal. He qualified with KPMG in 1985 and was seconded to the SA Revenue Services for four years. Colin has audit experience in many industries and has consulted to the horse racing and gambling industry. He has an extensive working knowledge of tax matters.

Barry E. Fuller
Barry attended Northlands Boys High School (now Northwood). He continued on to the University of Natal and qualified with Ernst and Young in 1980. He spent ten years in the manufacturing industry prior to becoming a partner of De Ravel, Fuller and Co, whose firm merged with ALE in 2007. Barry has extensive experience in property matters and has auditing experience in a wide variety of industries.
